MY STORY
I'm a Nashville-based artist embarking on a late-blooming journey to become a DJ. After years of treating music as a hobby, I finally decided to go all in. I dropped my first couple of tracks at the end of November 2025, with more releases on the way—and I’m just getting started. Follow me as I chase my dream of becoming a DJ in my 50s. Hey, Tina Turner hit her stride later in life, and David Guetta’s still rocking the decks—so why not me?
By day (or rather, by night), I drive a FedEx semi between Nashville and Knoxville. Those long drives under the stars are where my song ideas come alive. In fact, the hook for Santa In The Hood hit me around 4 a.m. on Thanksgiving morning, somewhere on I-40. That same day, I wrote, refined, and released the entire track—a true holiday hustle.
I create using FL Studio, Splice, and Suno—because studio budgets don’t stop creativity. I’m even experimenting with my own vocals using a bit of Autotune magic. One day, when fame rolls in, maybe the singers will come to me.
As mentioned above, the track Santa In The Hood was sparked by a hook I thought of while driving back to Nashville. That morning I was just going to see what a verse would be like before going to bed, but ended up writing the whole track in about 4 hours. Went to bed, because I had to drive that night. Woke up and redid some lines and verses in the track. Spent the next hours developing the music and feel. Then a few minutes after midnight I released the song to the world. So basically my whole Thanksgiving day was devoted to birthing Santa In The Hood.
For now, I’m balancing gears and beats—driving trucks by night and producing music by day. I’ll soon be sharing my creative journey on Instagram at @djbottronix.
